Sfouf is a Lebanese Semolina and Turmeric cake. This delicious Middle Eastern dessert recipe is unique in flavor due to turmeric. Turmeric gives it not only yellow color but also a yummy taste. It is also called Lebanese Curcuma cake.

Semolina Cake ( Labnese Cake ) Ingredients
- Semolina ( Suji ) 1 cup
- All purposes flour ( Maida ) ½ cup
- Turmeric ( Haldi ) powder ¼ tsp
Baking Powder 1 tsp (Heaped )- Salt ¼ tsp
- Raisin ( Kishmish ) 2 tbsp
- Butter / Oil ½ cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Eggs 2
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Almonds crushed 1 tbsp
- White Sesame ( Til ) 2 tbsp
Baking Powder 1 tsp (Heaped )
How to make Sfouf- (Suji ka Cake recipe ) Method:
- In a bowl, add semolina, All purpose flour, turmeric powder, baking powder, salt, and Raisin. Mix all well.
- In another bowl, add butter and sugar. Mix well with a hand beater.
- Now add eggs and yogurt. Mix all ingredients for 3 – 4 minutes.
- Then add a mixture of semolina and all purposes flour gradually and fold with light
- Take a pan. Grease with oil and put butter paper in it. Grease the paper also.
Now put cake batter in it. Sprinkle Almonds and Sesame on - Preheat the oven to 18 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Now put the cake pan in it and bake for 30- 35 minutes.
