Shami kabab is a popular dish in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. It is a side dish which can be served any time, with tea, at lunch and dinner time also. These beef patties can also use in burgers and sandwiches.
Beef Shami Kabab ki Recipe Ingredients:
- Beef boneless ½ kg
- Chana dal ( yellow split peas ) ½ cup ( soak for ½ hour)
- Tomatoes 2 ( cut into cubes )
- Potato 2 ( cut into cubes )
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Green chili 2
- Salt 1 tsp
- Red pepper 1 tsp
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Dry coriander ½ tsp
- Cumin seeds ( jeera ) ½ tsp
- Garam masala ½ tsp
- Green coriander ½ cup
- Egg 1
- Water 6 cups or as required
- Oil for frying
How to make Shami Kabab
- Wash beef (ghost) boneless well.
- Take a pressure cooker and put beef meat in it.
- Add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, potatoes, green chili, Chana dal (yellow split peas) salt, red pepper, turmeric, dry coriander, cumin seeds, and water in it.
- Cook on a medium flame for 20 minutes or until meat is tender. If require more water add it and cook.
- When meat is tender. Let it cool down for some time. Then chop it well in the chopper.
- After add green coriander and garam masala (all mixed spices) Mix well.
- Put in the fridge for 10 minutes. Now make a kabab using water on your hands.
- Put in the fridge again for 10 minutes.
- Take an egg and beat it well.
- Take oil in a pan. Heat it. Now take beef shami kababs one by one, dip them in egg and fry golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with tomato ketchup as tea time snacks.
