This is made with potato, onion, eggplant, chicken, and green chili, etc., This yummy teatime snacks are very popular in iftar time during Ramadan.

Here, I have shared a basic and easy recipe for pakora. This is the simplest version of pakoras. I have used a few ingredients with spices. In this recipe, I have used yogurt instead of water to mix the batter. This will give pakoras a little sour taste and enhance the flavor of this yummy snack.

Basen Pakora Ingredients
1- Basen ( Gram flour ) - 1 cup ( 150 grams)
2- Potato ( Aloo) - 1 medium grated
3- Onion - 1 small chopped
4- Ginger - ½” piece grated
5- Rice Flour - 1 tbsp
6- Salt - ½ tsp or according to taste
7- Red pepper - ½ tsp
8- Black pepper - ¼ tsp
9- Cumin seeds - 1/2tsp
10- Dry coriander - ½ tsp
11- Baking soda - ¼ tsp
12- Chaat Masala- ¼ tsp
13- Green Chili - 1
14- Kasori Methi - 1 tsp
15- Yogurt ( dahi ) - 5 tbsp

How to Make Pakora.? Method
1- Take a bowl and add basen (gram flour) to it. Now add all ingredients to it. Mix this with yogurt. I did not use water but if need water use 1- 2 tbsp only.
2- When mixture is ready put aside.
3- Heat oil in a kadai/karahi and fry pakora in small sizes. When one side is cooked in about five minutes turn it and cook the other side.
4- When both sides are golden brown, take it out from the oil.
5- Crispy basen pakora recipe is ready to serve.
6- Serve it as a snack any time, especially during Iftar time during Ramadan.
